The Total Visa® Card is ideal if you have poor credit. The main benefit of this card is that it reports to all major credit bureaus, which is a rare opportunity for those with poor credit who would otherwise only qualify for secured or prepaid cards. The interest rate for purchases is above average and not ideal if you plan to carry a balance. However, this may not be a problem if you only need a credit card to make certain purchases. This card does have some fees to get started as well as an annual fee and a monthly fee, but these fees are reasonable in comparison to the amount of fees you would pay for most secured and prepaid cards. Overall, this is a good card if you have trouble being approved for other credit cards.

The New Millennium Bank Platinum Visa®/MasterCard® is ideal for those with limited or poor credit who may be having a difficult time in obtaining a standard unsecured credit card. Unlike most secured credit cards, this card offers benefits such as auto rental insurance, up to $100,000 in travel accident insurance, an extended warranty for purchases, free membership to TheWorldsBestTravelClub.com, and a free companion air ticket, which is awarded to you after you have been approved for the card. These benefits do come with an annual fee of $59, which is slightly above average for a secured card, as well as a one time processing fee of $99.95. The APR that is applied to purchases is above average for a secured card, but this card does apply interest to the deposit amount required to secure the account, which is a nice benefit. It is important to note that there is no grace period for purchases, which means that interest will be applied immediately to any charges made with the card. However, if you are having difficulty in obtaining an unsecured card, this card does have a no credit check and a no turn-down policy.

The Account Now™ Vantage Debit MasterCard® is ideal if you need to make transactions that normally require a traditional credit card, but you have trouble obtaining one. As with all prepaid cards, the available balance on the card for purchases must be funded in advance. You'll then be able to use the card anywhere a traditional credit card is accepted. The main difference between the various prepaid cards is the amount of fees required to maintain and load funds onto the card. This card has a very low application fee and an average participation fee. Although there is a $.50 fee applied each time you make a purchase, there is no fee for making direct deposits to the card. This card also provides access to a free credit builder program and a free bill pay service for the first seven transactions each month. Overall, this is a good option if you need a card to make purchases and payments. This card also offers a choice of plans, so you can choose the one that meets your needs the most.

The Pulaski Bank Visa®/MasterCard® offers an excellent interest rate with the option to transfer a balance. The interest rate is considered very low for a regular card, and it is lower than most cards. The interest rate is also the same for purchases, balance transfers, and cash advances, which is a unique feature and perfect for those that may need some extra cash. There is also an interest-free period on balance transfers for the first six months with no balance transfer fees. The card only provides limited benefits and services, and it doesn't offer a reward program as is often the case for cards with higher interest rates. However, this card does have a low annual fee.
