Credit Card Medical Bill Payment
By Credit Federal | Published 07/15/2009
With consumers charging more of their medical bills on credit cards, we should wonder why all credit card companies don't create a special health credit card. Due to job losses, some people make medical bill payments with a credit card.

The medical profession certainly would like to be paid by credit card. Many medical offices proudly display a sign if they accept credit cards and they may accept serveral card types.

Consumers who are struggling or have lost a job may only be able to pay using a credit card. This only becomes a problem when they are not able to pay the balance in full every month or they must pay the minimum amount due. Credit cards are helping many get through their monthly budgets during this economic recession.

For consumers who have bad credit and in a crunch needing medical attention, and not being able to get money, having a credit card can be helpful. Some consumers slam credit cards but they can be an asset to have.

Credit cards have always been good to have in times of emergencies. Cardholders should strive to pay on time and pay more than the minimum due to keep the card active and in good standing. It is also best to try not to go over the credit limit on the card.

If you are a consumer who has more than one credit card, choose one to use just for medical fees like doctor visits, hospital services, eye doctor visits, and even dentist visits. The statements will be an easy way to track medical expenses during the year for tax purposes or for budget reasons. A cash back card can be a good reward as you may be able to use the cash back toward the balance due.

Apply for a credit card: For consumers who don't want to charge medical bills, apply for a prepaid or debit card to use for medical expenses. Choose one that is easy to reload and accepted worldwide. Many have great online tools, no annual fees, and you can still get the benefits of monthly statements to track medical expenses. There are credit cards for every credit type so find yours today.

Apply for debt help: If you've charged more on your credit card than you can repay at the current interest rate and terms, consider counseling, bill consolidation or perhaps negotiate a debt settlement.
