Long Term Personal Loan VS Credit Card Charge: Often when people need credit to cover an expense, many instantly think about placing the charge onto an unsecured credit card. If you plan to repay the charge quickly before interest adds up, then certainly a credit card is a good choice vs a personal loan. If; however, you plan on taking a year or longer to repay, a long term personal loan can save money by charging less overall interest.

If you need funds; for example $3,000, a personal loan may offer you a better interest rate than the regular rate on your credit card. Your personal loan will have fixed monthly installment payments which are higher than the 'minimum due' on a credit card statement, so it's more likely you'll payoff the personal loan faster than if you had charged the funds to a credit card.

If; however, your charge will be small and you're able to pay off the balance quickly, a credit card may be better especially one that offers a 0% intro APR on purchases.

Thanks to the internet, Americans can now instantly check a tax refund status using a tool on the IRS website.

Required Information:
The Social Security Number or EIN used on the return
The exact refund amount as filed on your return
Marital status

If more than 28 days have passed since the rebate mailout date posted on the IRS website, you will be able to initiate a refund trace online. And, if the website tool says the IRS was unable to deliver your refund, you will also be allowed to change your address.
